In the Holy Qur'an, Allah has described many qualities of a believer. In this world, one can attain happiness and peace under the guidance of Allah, as well as in the hereafter. Here are some of the essential characteristics of the believers mentioned in Surah Muminun of the Holy Qur'an.

The six characteristics of a believer............

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Surely the believers have succeeded. Those who are humble in their prayers. Those who refrain from vain deeds. Those who collect zakat. Those who guard their private parts; Except for their wives and their concubines, they will not be blamed for it. Then if they desire besides them, they are transgressors. And those who keep their trusts and promises. Those who are careful in performing the prayers. They will inherit Paradise, they will abide therein forever. (Surah Muminun, verses: 1-11).

1. Concentration in prayers: Narrated Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said If those poets do not sin. And this happens his whole life. '(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 227).

2. Avoiding vain deeds: One of the characteristics of a believer is to avoid all kinds of useless deeds. It has been said to refrain from abusing, speaking evil, wasting time including sinful deeds, and shirk. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

3. Achieving self-purification through zakat: Narrated from Abu Malik Ashari (RA), the Prophet (SAW) said, part of the holy faith. Allah will fill the scales (of the Hereafter). Subhanallah and Alhamdulillah fill the middle of the heavens and the earth. Prayers are like light. Proof of (faith) is matched through charity. Patience is the equivalent of light. The Qur'an will testify for or against you. People sell themselves in the morning. Then he protects or destroys himself. '(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 223).

4. Protection of the place of shame: Spiritual and physical purity is one of the characteristics of a believer. One of the characteristics of a believer is to refrain from fulfilling his biological desires in ways forbidden by the Shari'ah. Besides, it is also important to protect one's heart from haraam methods. Otherwise, there will be chaos in the individual, family, society, and the state. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Tell the believers to keep their eyes open and guard their private parts. It is holier for them, and Allah is Aware of what they do. '(Surah Noor, verse 30).

4. Fulfillment of deposits and promises: The believer fulfills his own promises and realizes the trusts of others properly. Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 33).

6. Careful in prayers: The believer is always careful in prayers. So that he can perform the prayers on time. Abdullah bin Masood (RA) said, I ask the Prophet (SAW), which is the best work? He said to perform the prayers on time. I said, then what works? He said, good manners with parents. I said, then what works? He said, Jihad in the way of Allah. If I asked him more, he would say more. '(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 527).
