Five South African women cricketers are covid-19 prositive

Five South African women cricketers have been  identified covid-19 at Sylhet in Bangladesh

5 members of the South African women's emerging cricket team are not positive. Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, chairman of the BCB's women's wing, confirmed the results after observing a sample given to Osmani Medical on Monday (April 12th) at noon on his way from Sylhet.

The affected members are Leah Jones, Sinalo Jafta, Benetti, Robin Searle, and team manager Matsipi Marcia Letsalo.

However, the Covid test results of the rest of the team members came back negative. In this situation, the fleet has returned to South Africa with 16 members of the team. The other five are currently in isolation at a hotel in the capital. They will be treated there under the supervision of BCB. The BCB has confirmed that the results of all the cricketers of the Bangladesh team in the test conducted at Osmani Medical are negative.

Earlier, the two teams returned to Dhaka from Sylhet at the end of the series. The government has announced a one-week lockdown due to the deteriorating situation in Corona across the country. All flights will be closed at this time. That is why the last match of the series was postponed.
